Master Music License - Version 1.1

This page provides the current general license terms for HAI Soundworks music packs sold or distributed through the HAI Soundworks website, Itch.io, and related official channels.
This page contains the current HAI Soundworks Master Music License and supplements the LICENSE.txt file included with individual downloads. Where an older included LICENSE.txt is more restrictive regarding permitted project types, media formats, client work, or distribution of completed projects, the broader permissions stated in the current Master Music License on this page apply and may be relied upon. The LICENSE.txt included with a music pack remains valid for that purchase or download. This Master Music License may expand, but never retroactively reduce, rights already granted under that LICENSE.txt or an earlier version of this Master Music License.
A separate written agreement issued directly by HAI Soundworks takes precedence over both this Master Music License and any LICENSE.txt included with a downloaded pack.
By purchasing or downloading a HAI Soundworks music pack, you are granted a NON-EXCLUSIVE, PERPETUAL, WORLDWIDE license to use the included audio tracks in games, interactive media, audiovisual productions, client work, and other creative media projects.
You are permitted to:
Use the music in commercial and non-commercial games.
Use the music in prototypes, game jams and demos.
Use the music in visual novels, apps, interactive experiences and other interactive media.
Use the music in commercial videos, corporate videos, documentaries, short films, branded content and other audiovisual productions.
Use the music in advertisements, promotional campaigns, social media content, paid social media advertising, product videos, website videos, presentations, exhibitions, livestreams and similar media.
Use the music in trailers, teasers, cinematics and promotional material.
Edit, cut, arrange, fade or loop sections of the tracks as needed for integration into your project.
Monetize completed projects containing the music, including games, videos, advertisements and other permitted productions.
Use the music in multiple commissioned works, client projects and work-for-hire productions.
Deliver a completed project containing the music to a client and allow that client to publish, distribute, advertise, broadcast, exhibit and monetize that completed project.
Include the music in future updates, versions, ports, edits or adaptations of the same project.
Share the files with employees, contractors, editors, production partners or clients only when reasonably necessary for integration, editing, testing, production, delivery or maintenance of a permitted project.
For client work, the license remains with the original purchaser or licensee. A client may use and distribute the music only as part of the completed licensed project delivered to them. The client does not receive ownership of the music and may not extract, reuse, sublicense, redistribute or use the music in unrelated projects unless they obtain their own valid license from HAI Soundworks.
You are not permitted to:
Resell or redistribute the tracks as standalone audio files.
Share, transfer, sublicense or distribute the original audio files outside a permitted project team, client workflow or production process.
Allow employees, contractors, production partners or clients to retain or reuse the original audio files for unrelated projects unless they hold their own valid license.
Claim authorship or ownership of the music.
Upload, distribute or monetize the tracks as standalone music on streaming platforms, music stores, stock music libraries or content platforms, including Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or similar services.
Use the tracks in AI model training, datasets or similar systems.
Include the music in any product intended to resell or distribute audio libraries, sound packs, music collections or music assets.
Content ID and Automated Claims
The purchaser is not permitted to register the included music, or any edited version of the included music, with YouTube Content ID, Meta Rights Manager, Audible Magic, or any similar automated copyright identification, fingerprinting, claiming or rights management system.
The purchaser may not authorize any distributor, publisher, platform, label, agency, client or third-party service to register, claim or manage the music on their behalf.
The purchaser is not permitted to make copyright claims, royalty claims, ownership claims or takedown requests against HAI Soundworks, other licensed users of this music pack, or projects that are using the music under a valid license.
Completed projects containing the music may be monetized, but neither the purchaser nor any client, publisher, distributor, agency or other third party may register the music itself, or an edited version of it, with an automated copyright identification or rights management system.
If an automated claim is made against the purchaser's project by a third party, HAI Soundworks may provide reasonable proof of license where possible, but does not guarantee the removal of claims made by third-party platforms, distributors, publishers, labels, agencies, rights management systems or automated services.
No Exclusive Rights
This license does not transfer copyright, authorship, ownership, publishing rights, master rights or exclusive rights to the purchaser or to any client.
HAI Soundworks may continue to sell, license, distribute, promote, stream and otherwise use the included music.
Format and Usage Notes
Downloads may include MP3 files, WAV files, or both, depending on the pack.
MP3 files, when included, are provided at 320 kbps for smaller file size and convenience.
WAV files, when included, are provided at 44.1 kHz / 16-bit for high-quality use.
All included MP3 and WAV files are covered by this license for permitted project use.
Tracks are full-length compositions and not designed as seamless loops unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Looping, fading or restructuring is allowed at the user's discretion.
No stems, loops or alternate mixes are included unless explicitly stated on the product page or inside the download package.
Platform and Store Requirements
The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that their project meets the rules and submission requirements of any platform, storefront, publisher, broadcaster, advertising network or distribution service where the project is released.
This license does not guarantee acceptance by any third-party platform, storefront, publisher, broadcaster, distributor or advertising service.
Termination
Any violation of these terms automatically terminates this license. Upon termination, the purchaser must stop using the music and remove the included audio from all projects, products and distribution channels in which it is being used under this license.
Limitation of Liability
The music is provided as-is. HAI Soundworks is not responsible for any loss, delay, rejection, claim, dispute, revenue loss, platform action or other issue arising from the purchaser's use of the music or from the rules, decisions or automated systems of any third-party platform, storefront, publisher, distributor, broadcaster, advertising service, rights management service or content platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, any liability is limited to the amount paid for this music pack. If the music pack was obtained for free, the amount paid is considered zero.
